Kendoo Reassures Residents of Inclusive Government, Promises More Projects

 


The Executive Chairman of Oshodi isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede has promised residents and stakeholders of the local government that his administration will be an inclusive government.

The council boss also promised to do more on infrastructural development of the local government. 

The council boss made the disclosure on Wednesday at the Marriage registry of the local government at the Year 2022 stakeholders meeting, where he highlighted the projects executed so far since assumption of office even with lean resources.

Oloyede said; "more projects will be implemented by this administration, as the people will top our developmental agenda".

In his opening speech, the chairman commended members of the management team of the local government for supporting his giant strides despite occasional disagreements and also party leaders who have been supportive of his administration.

He said; "This administration is barely ninety five days old and it's important we give account of our stewardship, we have initiated projects despite the scarce resources. We have been push and stretched beyond normal.  But I want you to know that we shall continue to push on, embark on people friendly projects. This government is for you, so don't hesitate to draw our attention wherever and whenever the need arises, it is not business as usual."

The stakeholders that were at the parley equally commended the council chairman for his remarkable achievements in less than one hundred days in office and promised their sincere support at all times for the government.  

The stakeholders took time to highlight their preferred projects to be included in the budget of the new year, top on the request is roads rehabilitaion which the council chairman had stated work on.

The council manager, Mrs Latifat Toyin Balogun in her brief response at the occasion clearly stated that though inputs are obtained from stakeholders, but other critical conditions will determine whether the projects enumerated will be captured in the budget. 

She said that amongst conditions that will be considered while preparing the budget will include, the viability of the project, availability of resources to execute projects  and above all  the necessity for the projects being suggested.  

She however, assured stakeholders that consideration will be accorded their demand in the budget of the coming year. 

Among dignitaries at the stakeholders are the Apex leader of the ruling party in the local government Pa .J.O Olabintan, Chief Mrs C A.Badejoko, Chairman of CDC, Alhaji Olawoyin, chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State chapter, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, Chairman, All Progressives Congress, (APC), shodi-Isolo local government area,  Alhaji Saheed Animashaun, all ward chairmen, councilors,  Leaders of Ohaneze Indigbo, Arewa community leaders, Ebira leaders and several other critical stakeholders in the local government.
