... calls for unity within the party, urges members to get their PVCs
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Oshodi- Isolo Constituency 1, Otunba Stephen Ogundipe, popularly known as Omojomolo, has urged all party members and leaders of the council to work in unity for the betterment of the party.
Ogundipe spoke yesterday as he attends the wards meeting of the constituency across the seven wards.
The LAHA candidate told the party members of the need to come together as the party heads towards the 2023 general elections.
His last point of call was his Ogunoloko (D1B) ward where he was received with funfair and admiration.
While addressing the party faithfuls, Otunba Ogundipe disclosed that "I have attended the meetings of other wards and I will relay the same message I delivered to them that we need to have a united front as we approach the coming election. Surely, there are some of our members that are aggrieved due to one reason or the other, it behoves on us to pacify and bring them back home. I am ready to visit our aggrieved members and pacify them myself because united we stand. Division will only bring defeat".
He continued "in addition to the peace, harmony and love I have come to preach within our party, it is also very important I stress to you all the need to get your PVCs. Your vote is your power but you will not be able to exercise that power without you having your PVC. Let us go out en mass to register so as to be able to vote".
While eulogizing the LAHA candidate for his good records within the party, an elder stateman from Ogunoloko ward, Elder Salako (JP), equally implored party members to let go of their grudges and work for the victory of the party in the coming election, noting that Ogundipe has paid his dues within the party.
The incoming lawmaker however appreciated the love and warmth reception he received across the wards within the local government, while promising pragmatic leadership once elected.
