Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman, Oloyede Applauds FG For Schools Reconstruction, Handing Over

 















The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has applauded the federal government on the reconstruction and equipment of primary schools in Oshodi.


The council chairman was full of appreciation while attending the handing over ceremony on Thursday. 


The construction of 2 blocks building of 12 classrooms each was falicitated by Hon. Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi and executed by the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulure. 


While handing over the classroom, Hon. Gbeleyi, who is the Chairman, Board of Directors, Federal Mortgage Bank, disclosed that he facilitated the project as a result of his passion for the development in the council.


 Gbeleyi stated that being an indigene of Oshodi himself, he would ensure the educational standard is improved upon. 


The chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education (UBEC), Hon. Wahab Alawiye-King, appreciated the Federal Government and Hon. Gbeleyi for the facilitation and execution of the superb projects within the local government. He noted that with the buildings, pupils will learn in a conducive environment. 

The executive chairman of the local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Joke Onitolo, eulogized both the facilitator and the SDGs office for deeming it fit to bring the projects to Oshodi, noting that the current local government chairman is very keen on education. 


He said; "on behalf of my executive chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, we want to genuinely appreciate you sir. These buildings are magnificent and I'm sure they will be put to good use. At our level, we are equally making sure our schools receive facelift. We have also recently donated several educational materials aimed at improving smart learning at Bolade Junior Grammar School. We shall continue to give education its needed attention". Buildings handed over were 2blocks of 12 classrooms each in Methodist Pry school and 2 storey building of 18 classrooms in St. John Primary school. 


She however urged the personalities present to emulate Hon. Gbeleyi by sponsoring and facilitating projects that would be beneficial to the populace.


Other personalities present include Education Secretary for Oshodi-Isolo local government, Barr. Ogunwusi Olufemi, chairperson, Union of teachers, Oshodi, head teachers, parents, guardians and students.
