In fulfillment of part of the THEMES agenda of Mr Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his wife, Dr. Mrs. Claudia Ibijoke Sanwo-olu and the Executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, on Monday flagged off the Jigi Bola medical outreach in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government for the benefit of residents.
At the flag off, the council chairman, Otunba Oloyede, appreciated the state Governor, Mr. Sanwo-olu, his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and their ever supportive wives, for championing the wellbeing of Lagosians in general. He informed the crowd present that the state government understands the need to make health care accessible to the citizenry, hence, the relaunch of Jigi Bola initiative.
In his words, "I want to appreciate our amiable Governor and his loyal deputy for relaunching this laudable program initiated by our incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They have also included other sectors to make it more robust and beneficial to our people. I implore our people to make the best use of this opportunity provided by Mr Governor, to get treated for free. Inorder for this program and other superb projects of Mr Governor to continue, it behoves on us to massively vote for all the candidates of APC in the coming general elections".
The Executive Director of BOSKOH HMI, Dr. Nike Osas, also gave the areas to be covered by the team in the next 3days. It include Optical examination and free glasses, sugar level examination, dental care service, blood pressure, Tuberculosis, breast cancer check and Counselling for depressed persons. She encouraged residents to afford themselves of these free services.
Corroborating Dr. Nike Osas was also BOSKOH Director of Planning, Dr. Eriosho. He also educated the residents on the reasons they should take their health serious to prevent unexpected occurrence like death.
The Vice Chairman of the local government who also doubles as the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, gave the vote of thanks where she eulogized the state governor, his deputy, their wives as well as the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, for their relentless efforts towards ensuring that Oshodi-Isolo residents have access to free medical services at their door steps. The chairman, his vice, the executive director of BOSKOH, Dr. Nike Osas, later took the first lady on a tour of various sections where dedicated staff where promptly attending to people. The elated first lady received the greetings and cheers from people with smile and dance.
Other dignitaries present at the event include the SLG to the council, Hon. Smart Olayinka, the LGA party chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, the Council Treasurer, leader of the House, Hon. Rasheed Obasa who led other Councillors, supervisory Councillors for Environment, Hon. Femi Ajayi, Budget, Hon. Tobi Olabintan, Chieftaincy, Hon. Abiodun Mamora, and Inter-governmental, Hon. Obafemi.
Others include S.A. for Works, Hon. Kehinde Adekunle, Revenue, Hon. Gideon Balogun, Education, Hon. Joke Onitolo, WAPA, Hon. Feyisara Bukola, Media, Information and ICT, Hon. Salako 'Tobi and host of others.
