The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has received the executive members of Lagos State Conference of Ward Chairmen in his office. The exco members came to appreciate the chairman for the warm and homely reception they received during their inaugural meeting which was held at the Abibat Mogaji Hall, within the local government secretariat.
While appreciating the executive chairman, the pioneer chairman of the body, who was also an S.S.A. to a former governor, Alhaji Ola Dauda Sheu, noted that it is imperative they appreciate the chairman for providing a befitting venue and conducive atmosphere for their inaugural meeting. He stated that this will be the first time they will be accorded such recognition.
In his words, "Mr chairman sir, we are here to appreciate you for your kind gesture towards us last week when we held our inaugural meeting within the local government. The venue, reception and refreshments we were given was superb. May Almighty Allah continue to bless you. "
Alh. Ola-Sheu also introduced to the executive chairman the incoming chairman of the ward conference, Hon. Seriki Stephen A., from Epe division of Lagos State.
Otunba Oloyede welcomed the excos and appreciated them, he informed them of the importance of their offices as party's ward chairmen of their respective local government areas. He averred that ward chairmen are important element within the party because they are usually the first point of call to the party members.
Oloyede noted that "ward chairmen are important elements within the party. They are usually the first person any party member would contact at the ward level. As a body of all the ward chairmen of Lagos State, we are happy that you find the venue we provided worthy. We shall continue to support you in whatever way we can. Also, we shall give all the necessary support to our member amongst you. Our own chair of chair, Hon. Adewale Salami(Desalam). He has been very supportive and we shall ensure he succeeds."
The LGA chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Hon. Saheed Animashaun also eulogized the council chairman for always supporting party activities and always wanting to ensure the party is stronger and victorious.
Also in attendance were SLG to the local government, Hon. Smart Olayinka Akinleye, Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, S.A. works, Hon. Adekunle Kehinde, S.A. Education, Hon. Joke Onitolo, S.S.A. Media, Information and ICT, Hon. Salako 'Tobi.
Others include the outgoing chairman of Lagos State conference of Ward Chairmen, Hon. Sola Osobajo, Alhaja Atinuke Thomas, Lagos West Coordinator, Organising secretary, Alhaji Adeneye Tajudeen, PRO, Hon. Olarenwaju R. O., General Secretary, Bakare Akeem, Welfare, Elizabeth Akinyemi, and Asst PRO, Elder Lekan Idowu.
