The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, received the youth leaders of the ruling APC in his office on Thursday.
The wards youth leaders were led into the meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oshodi-Isolo LGA youth leader, Hon. Buari Jimoh.
Hon. Buari appreciated the council chairman for welcoming them to his office and also lauded the council helmsman unprecedented achievements in one year in office.
He noted that the youth wing of the party and the entire party members are happy with the way he is discharging his duties, particularly in the area of infrastructures within the local government.
He also disclosed that knowing the important role the youths will take in the coming elections, the youth leaders within Oshodi-Isolo local government have designed different programs aimed at galvanizing the youth to ensure the party comes out victorious in the next year's election.
In his words, "we are here today to appreciate you for sticking to the development manifesto of our great party, APC. We understand that the youths will be playing important roles in the coming election hence, we have designed various programs that will be directed at the youths. We are here to run the projects through you and get your feedbacks and inputs"
Oloyede, while welcoming the youths to his office, appreciated them, noting that their moves towards ensuring that the party is stronger are commendable.
He stressed the need for the party to be united saying the party can not go into the coming election with a divided house.
The council boss stated that the party leaders are working on reconciling agrieved members of the party that the youth wing should also get involve by preaching peace and oneness of the party to all and sundry.
According to Oloyede, "I want to commend the youth wing of our party at the local government and ward levels. I can see your zeal and dedication towards the success of the party. However, there are still some of our members that are agrieved, many of them youths. I want to charge you all to reach out to them and bring them back home. We are one big family and we can not go into the coming elections with a divided house. On our part as a government, we shall continue to ensure that the residents as well as our members are taken care of."
Others in attendance include the vice chairman, Hon. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Leader of the legislative Arm, Hon. Rasheed Obasa, Chief Whip of the house, Hon. Azeez Jayeola, Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko. Others include Hon. Tobi Salako representing Ogunoloko ward, Keshinro Adewale from Ewu Ward, Gideon Balogun representing Afariogun Ward, Bakare Olalekan representing Mafoluku Ward, Kehinde Aremu representing Oluyeye Ward, Onifade Wasiu representing Igbehinadun Ward and Saka Babatunde representing Shogunle Ward.
