Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Akinderu, kicks off Grassroots Campaign with Strategic Meetings with Ward Excos, CDC Members

In a bid to ensure the ruling All Progressives  Congress (APC) emerged victorious at the coming general elections, the Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Fatai Akinderu (MAF) has kicked off grassroots mobilisation campaign by having a strategic meeting with the ward executive members of his Ward D1B (Ogunoloko) and Community Development Committee (CDC) members.

The Honourable Commissioner stated that it is imperative for him to carry his primary assignment by ensuring his local government and particularly his ward are firmly secure for the coming elections.

He noted that soon, there will be enormous state assignment that would be assigned to him but he needs to ensure that the ward levels are ready and are on autopilot for the victory of the party.

While addressing the ward excos of D1B, which is his ward, he emphasized that in-fighting within the party will tear it apart, hence, he should be shun.

Akinderu said aggrieved members should be pacified and not mocked because some of them might have a genuine reason why they are aggrieved.

According to him, "it is imperative I meet with you all today inorder to properly dialogue amongst ourselves and ensure our party emerged victorious in the coming election. In everything we do, we should know that our actions and inactions are being watched by some people. My political journey from being a P.A. to a Commissioner, SA to Governor, House of Rep member and now Commissioner is not by magic. It is the outcome of several years of hard-work, seriousness, being trust worthy and possessing fear of God."

He continued, "being a leader starts from your ability to deliver your polling unit. Hence, I urge us all to develop the technique we will use in winning our individual polling boots. The party and leaders are ready to give you all the needed assistance to deliver."

The Ward D1B chairman, Hon. Ismail Akinderu, eulogized the Commissioner for being a good ambassador of the ward and local government at the state level and for the support he rendered during the PVC registration. He promised that each exco member would have a rethink and come up with modalities that would make the party come out top.

Also in the crucial meeting was Otunba Stephen Ogundipe (Omojomolo), who is the party candidate for Oshodi Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly. He equally charged the exco members not to leave any stone unturned. He said the aggrieved members have been reached out to and moving forward, there will be normalcy within the party at the local government level.

Immediately after the meeting, he also entered into another critical meeting with the CDC members where he listened to them and they strategized together.
