Following the footsteps of the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, his Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko has equally donated a pumping machine to Afolabi Primary School and also empowered a virtually impaired resident with an empowerment tool in order to aid his business and not become a liability.
The presentation of the two items were done on Friday 11th November, 2022 when the chief of staff presented the pumping to the Assistant Head Teacher of Afolabi Primary school. The council CoS noted that he heard of the challenges that both teachers and pupils of the school go through due to the fact that their pumping machine is damaged and he decided to assist. He noted that without running water, the staff and pupils of the school would not be able to use the restroom and considering the little ages of the pupils, they may contract diseases associated with dirty restroom and environment.
While receiving the pumping machine on behalf of the school, the Assistant Head Teacher of the school appreciated the council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede and his Chief of Staff, Hon Leke Banjoko, for the prompt replacement of the faulty machine.
According to him, "we are extremely happy and appreciative to both the council chairman, Kendoo, and his Chief of Staff, Hon Leke Banjoko, for helping us with another pumping machine. May Allah continue to bless you both and make your administration a success".
Also appreciating the kind gesture was the School Base Management Committee Chairman of Afolabi Primary School, Mr. Fatoyinbo Kazeem, who applauded the CoS for his magnanimity and desire to lessen the stress of the staff and pupils of the school.
The council CoS equally presented an empowerment tool to Mr. Kazeem Olaitan, who is partially virtually impaired in order to assist him in his business. The beneficiary who is a vulcanizer received a brand new vulcanizing machine to replace his rickety old one and be able to provide for his family.
After receiving the tool, elated Mr. Olaitan said "words alone cannot capture my happiness today. It's as if Hon. Banjoko knows that this machine has been giving me serious issues and has been negatively affecting my business. I want to thank the chairman and his Chief of Staff for this kind gesture towards me. May God continue to bless them".
