In continuation of the electoral promises of the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, the UNDP center of the local government has yet again partnered with Lust Academy in the training of Youths and young adults in hair- making.
The one week intensive training saw residents being trained in different styles of hairstyles and were provided with the needed materials to train on their own. They were equally taught the etiquette of the profession and they can stand out in the hair-making industry.
The council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede had visited the trainees and gave them words of encouragement on how best they can use skills acquired to better their lives.
According to him, "the skills you are currently acquiring can be a life changing training if you are ready serious about it. The training can reposition you and empower you. I urge you to take it serious and be focused".
The Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Ajoke Onitolo and the UNDP Coordinator, Hon. Afeez Adesanya, both encouraged the trainees to be positive about the training and take the skills needed.
The highlight of the graduation is the presentation of souvenirs to the trainees by the Lush Academy. They also gave scholarship to the 3 best students. Lush Academy also promised to support the trainees with technical support if they decide to open their own saloons.
