The Executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede on Thursday received representatives of Gbagura Descendants Forum of Lagos in his Oyetayo office on a working visit.
The team which was led by their co-founder, Alhaji Chief Adeyinka Shakiru, said the essense of their visit was to appreciate the chairman for the massive Infrastructural projects he has been executing within his short period in office. They said they were happy for his records so far and prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to bless him. They equally applauded him for making Oshodi safe and habitable.
They stated further that the entire Gbagura Descendants Forum in Oshodi are solidly behind the chairman and that they will continue to pray for his success.
While responding, the council chairman appreciated the forum for their support. He acknowledged the support they rendered to him during his campaign period.
In his words, "I am extremely happy to receive you all today. Your visit here today is a morale booster to me. When I was contesting for this post, I approached you all for your support and you really surprised me. Your support was highly significant and I appreciate your continued support.
"Gbagura Descendants here in Oshodi are peace loving people and they are forward looking. Their impacts are also significant in all ramifications both in academics, business and sports. As a government, we shall continue to support them to attain more greatness."
Other members present in the meeting include Alhaji Sholeye Sirajudin (Chairman), Akinwunmi Rasaq (Secretary), Chief Mrs Badejoke, Alhaja Fatimo Ayoade, Mrs Iyabo Lalolo, Adetuntun Bakare, Fatimo Yusuf, Mr Alabi Tewobola and Mr Richard Adewale.
