... Discussed strategies towards electoral victory
The honourable member representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 at the Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Bashir Dawudo, today visited the APC LGA exco members at the Akinniku Party Secretariat. The crucial meeting was aimed at appraising the party's activities towards the forthcoming general elections and also review the actions taken so far.
The MHR who visited the exco members with his team appreciated the frantic efforts of all the party stalwarts, both during the PVC registration and the collection process. He stressed that there is need for all party faithfuls to pull all resources together in order to win the forthcoming general elections.
He used the avenue to enumerate his achievements in the past 3years and all his lofty plans for the constituent in next term if elected. He disclosed that he understands the fact that some party members still feel aggrieved about certain things. He stressed that now is not the time for being aggrieved rather, it is time to work. He appreciated the top hierarchies within the party for their efforts towards ensuring that such differences were resolved.
In his words, "I am here today to converse with my party executives at the LGA level. There is need for us to appraise and review our actions and activities before going out there. We need to discuss about what our people are feeling and how we can move forward. I have listened to all suggestions and pieces of advice presented and you can be rest assured that they will be worked on."
He continues that "we have less than 60 days to the elections, if any member still feels aggrieved after all the moves that the top hierarchies of our party had made towards ensuring that all hands are deck, I don't think such persons love our party. Now is the time to put our difference aside and work for the emergence of all our candidates. On our part, we shall continue to work for the oneness and unity of our party, APC. Who ever feels slighted by any of our actions in the past, we tender an apology. "
The APC Party chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, welcomed the MHR and thanked him for finding time to address the LGA exco members. He disclosed that the entire exco members are solidly ready to work for the electoral victory of the party and that they are leaving no stone unturned.
In his words, "I, on behalf of the entire exco members, welcome our MHR to our midst. We have all listened to him and heard his plans for the residents and party members. We have just few days to the election and we all have to ensure our party comes top in the coming elections. We shall continue to support our candidates and the party. "
