...Reconciled aggrieved parties members and political heavy weights

In less than 8 days to the Lagos State gubernatorial and state assembly elections, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is leaving no stone unturned. Part of effort to present a formidable front and ensure the party emerge victorious in the coming election, members of the Governing Advisory Council (GAC) which is the apex advisory body in Lagos APC, visited Oshodi-Isolo local government in company of Tinubu-Shettima/Sanwo-Olu-Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) helms of affairs to hold a strategic town hall meeting with the local government area leaders, elders and other stakeholders in the party.

The GAC members which include Cardinal James Odunbamku and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, had in their entourage different political personalities which include the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Hon. Tayo Ayinde, former House of Representatives members, former commissioners and other Public office holders.

The crucial and elaborate meeting which took place at the Legislative hall of the Oshodi-Isolo local government also had in attendance members and leaders from Isolo and Ejigbo Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

The town hall meeting, which also served as a reconciliatory move also afforded the party members the opportunity to express themselves and identified what led to the poor outing of the local government in the last election. The concerns of the attendees were keenly listened to and noted for action.

There was however one thing that everyone unanimously agreed upon and it was that everyone needs to double their efforts towards the coming elections to ensure the party emerges victorious.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor who also doubles as the Director-General for Tinubu-Shettima/ Sanwo-Olu-Hamzat Independent Campaign Council, Hon. Tayo Ayinde, while responding to some of the issues raised noted that the party will take appropriate actions towards resolving the issues in the fastest ways possible.

He said; "my humble self, our GAC members and ICC directorates members here have listened to your issues and concerns. I want to assure you that we will relate them to the appropriate quarters and they will be resolved. While we resolve the issues, I want to charge you all to double your efforts towards the coming elections and prevent the repeat of the last poor outing".

After the general meeting, former Senator and a GAC member, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, also led leaders into a close door meeting where peace, unity and harmony was preached to them. He was also able to successfully resolve the difference between the immediate past council chairman, Hon. Bolaji Ariyoh, the chairman of Lagos State Park and Garages Management Committee, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya and the incumbent Council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.

The trio embraced themselves and promised to present a formidable and united front for the party in the coming election.
