It was a joyous atmosphere full of happiness and laughter, as the newly re-elected House of Representatives member, Hon. Dr. Bashir Dawodu presents his certificate of return to the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede in his Oyetayo office.
While doing the presentation, the MHR noted that he cannot but appreciate the enormous efforts of his brother and the council chairman in the success of the election. He observed that he was at the Oyetayo office of the chairman to show his gratitude to him for standing by him during the time of crises.
According to him, "I am here today not only to present my certificate of return to my brother and council chairman but to also appreciate his efforts towards the success of the election. He is a brother indeed and with his caliber, Oshodi is in safe hands"
Dawodu equally advised the upcoming politicians on how to play their cards and come out top. He stressed that there is difference between politics and governance and anyone that mixed them together is bound to fail.
While welcoming the MHR,Otunba Oloyede was grateful to God being coming top at the election.He used the avenue to further charged the federal lawmaker to be closer to his people and fulfill his electoral promises to the people.
He said, "I am grateful to God and facilitate with my brother on his hard earned electoral victory. This victory is indeed sweet owning to how hard it was to get it. Now that God and the good people of Oshodi has given the rare opportunity to represent them again, I urge you to daily remember your electoral promises and be closer to your people. May God give you the needed strength, wisdom and financial support to discharge."
Both the MHR and the council chair however implored the people to come out en masse and cast their votes for the return of Sanwo-Olu and Otunba Ogundipe in Oshodi.
