Shogunle Flood: Oshodi Council Chair, Oloyede Sends Delegation to Affected Areas on Assessment and Fact Finding Mission








... Sympathizes with residents 

In an effort to have first hand information and finding lasting solution to the perennial flooding in the Shogunle Ward of Oshodi-Isolo local government, the executive chairman of the council,  Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has sent a delegation to the affected communities today, Sunday 30th April, 2023 sent a delegation to the affected areas. 

The delegation which included the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Femi Ajayi, S.A. Media and Information, Hon. Tobi and chairman, Revenue Committee of the local government, Mr. Sunkanmi Dania visited the communities affected by the flood and assured them of the council chairman's quick intervention in finding an end to the persisting flood at a drop of rain.

Also in the delegation were the council engineers who assessed the causes of the flooding and will be providing professional advise to the council chairman on the way out of the situation. 

While assessing the situation alongside community members on Sunday, 30th April, 2023, the team equally engaged with residents and extracted useful suggestions and recommendations on how to put a stop to the perennial flooding. 

Hon Femi Ajayi while leading the delegation extended the sympathy of the council chairman to the communities and promised that the Otunba Oloyede led administration will work in tandem with the communities to find immediate and permanent solutions to the flood ravaging the areas.

He noted that the council Chairman wanted to assess the situation himself but was unavoidably absent hence, the team.

Areas visited include Ajisegiri, Ladipo, Saka, Fabukade, Opo-Osun, Olori, among other street within the Shogunle ward of the council.
