Oshodi-Isolo APC Apex Leader, Pa. Olabintan Begins Final Journey Home with Night of Tributes

 





The late apex leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), in Oshodi-Isolo local Government, Pa. Joseph Olabintan, today begins his final journey home with a night of tribute organized in his honour. 



The late political tactician and grassroot mobilizer, who died on 13th January, 2023 at a ripe age of 90 years, will be interred on Friday 5th May, 2023 after a lying in state at his Eniyanlobinu residence. 



The night of tribute saw the convergence of big political bigwigs of the local government who came out en masse to pay their tributes to their political leader and to appreciate his lifetime. 



Opening the floor of the tribute was the executive chairman of the local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, who went down the memory lane of the numerous sacrifices the deceased had made towards ensuring that the ruling APC in the local government remains united, strong and harmonious. 



He said, "we are gathered today to celebrate the life and times of our beloved father and leader, late Pa. Joseph Olabintan. Papa, as we fondly called him, would be remembered for his matured leadership traits that kept the APC united under his leadership. 



The biological children of Papa can surely be counted but his political children and the people that had benefited from his political tutelage and guidance are too numerous to mention. 



I condole with the family,  they should however be happy that their father led a good, eventful and fulfilled life. May God in His infinite mercy rest the soul of my great leader", he concluded. 



Amongst the dignitaries present was the Lagos State House of Assembly member-elect for Oshodi Constituency 1, Otunba Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe, Oshodi-Isolo GAC member, Chief Henry Ajomale represented by Otunba Jide Oni, Oshodi-Isolo APC chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, Oshodi-Isolo vice chairman, Hon. Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, APC State Exco, Hon. Israel Akiode, honourable councillors led by leader of the house, Hon. Rasheed Obasa, SLG to the local government, Hon. Smart Akinleye, Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, cabinet members members. 



Others include former Council chairmen, Hon. Prince S.O. Aina and Hon. Afeez Ipesa, leaders and elders of the APC Apex forum, former Isolo council chair, Hon. Osabale, former Council vice chairman, Hon. Barr. Kayode Tinubu, former APC State Exco, Hon. Ariyibi, Hon. Wale Adelana, to mention but a few. 


The program continues tomorrow with a wake and service of songs inside the legislative hall of Oshodi-Isolo local government.
