Chairman, Lagos State Parks and Garages, Akinsanya Commiserates with Badagry Accident Victims

 

The chairman of Lagos State Park and Garages Committee, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly called Mc-Oluomo has commiserates with the Badagry accident victims and the families of the passengers that lost their lives.


Recall that the ghastly motor accident happened yesterday Sunday 9th July, 2023, along Badagry Express way claiming 15 lives and others currently receiving treatments at the hospital for varying degrees of injuries.


Mc-Oluomo, who lamented the avoidable loss of lives, cautioned drivers to be mindful and careful of their driving, particularly when on the highway. He noted that since becoming chairman of the Lagos State Park and Garages Committee, he has embarked on many measures and organized numerous capacity training and workshop for the drivers of the state. 


He disclosed that the aim of the training and other measures implemented was to inculcate better driving habit and discipline into the drivers. He equally disclosed that himself and his committee members have also set up teams to monitor the habit and behaviours of their members so as to forestall highway accident. 


He sympathize with the families of the 15 people that lost their lives and prays that God rest their souls. He further wished the people receiving treatments at the hospital quick recovery. 


He said; "I received the news of the accident along Badagry Express way and loss of lives with heavy heart. May God rest the souls of the departed and give their families the strength to bear the loss. I also wish the people receiving treatments at the hospital quick recovery. 


Since becoming the chairman of the Lagos State Park and Garages, myself and my committee members have introduced various measures including training of our drivers and setting up teams to monitor their behaviours, both within the garage and on the highway. The measures are aimed towards instilling discipline in our drivers and totally reducing the incidence of accidents. 


We shall continue in this line for the sake of the lives and goods of Lagosians."
