National Youth Assembly Executives Visit Oshodi-Isolo Council Chair, Otunba Oloyede

 


... eulogizes his passion for the youths

The leadership of the National Youth Assembly, Lagos State chapter was today received by the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede in his Oyetayo office. 

The National Youth Assembly of Nigeria ( NYAN), which is a foremost youth advocacy group, disclosed that their visit was to appreciate the Chairman for being a youth advocate and for constantly fighting and pushing for the interest of the youth, both in his local government and Lagos State at large. 

The team which was led by the Deputy National Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Amb) Udomoh Emmanuel Benjamin disclosed that a cursory look at the antecedents and passion of the chairman towards the youths, which is evident in the composition of his cabinet which comprises  80% youths; shows that he is a man that have a foresight and thinks about the future. 

He stressed that his zeal to always accommodate the youths stands him out amongst his colleagues. 

He said, “Mr Chairman sir, I bring you greetings from the National Speaker of National Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Amb. Uthman Shagari. We are here today to firstly appreciate all your efforts towards the political emancipation of the  youths of this local government. We cannot thank you enough for always being there for us." 

"In addition to the above, we also want to inform you of our desire to host this year's United Nations World Youths Day in your local government, precisely at Bolade market, where we will engage in clean up, sensitization of the youth and host of other programs. Our resolution to host it in Oshodi is to further appreciate you and associate with you."

Otunba Oloyede, while receiving the team, thanked them for their choice of Oshodi and also for being a youth advocacy group. He posited that the youth is the strength of any society and he would continue to empower them the best way he can. He said he decided to trump the norm in selecting his cabinet members and he is happy with the decision because he gets fresh ideas from the youths around him. 

According to him, "I welcome you all to my office and to Oshodi. The youth is the strength and future of any society and I, in particular, will continue to position and empower them the best way I can. As a government, we shall continue to support our youth and ensure they succeed."

In company of the National Deputy Speaker are Rt. Hon. (Amb) Adeola Aderibigbe (Lagos State speaker), Rt. Hon. (Amb) Ajiboye Akindayo (Deputy Speaker), Martins Victor (Majority Leader), Akindele Tosin ( Deputy Majority Leader), Keshinro Emmanuel ( Chief Whip), Emmanuel Macaulay, Chiamaka Amazigo and Bonnie Samuel Eunice.
