Oshodi-Isolo LG Chair, Otunba Oloyede doles out free 400 GCE forms

 

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has doled out free 400 GCE forms to indigent students in Oshodi.

The executive chairman while presenting the forms to the students urged them to make the council proud by coming out in the examination with flying colours.

Oloyede said given the forms to students is a resolved of his administration to improve standard of education in his local government.

He assured them of his administration continued support for education.

He said; "it is part of our education support which aims at improving literacy in Oshodi and meeting the needs of students who are willing to learn but whose parents cannot afford to buy the forms for their children.

Our objective is bringing governance closer to the grassroots and addressing some of the economic challenges facing our people."

Speaking further, the council chairman said his administration will not stop at given GCE forms to students, would do more in providing  environmental friendly learning condition for the students.


"Our administration will also provide other free educational support for indigent students to aid their learning ability."



Imploring the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the free form, Otunba Oloyede said; "I implore all the beneficiaries of today's programme to encourage us to do more, by preparing well, studying hard to justify this opportunity given to you and the fund spent to procuring these forms by coming out in flying colours.


The council helmsman commended his  vice, Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, the council manager,  Mrs Iyabode Abosede Ogunyemi and others for their unfliching support for his administration.


He said; "Let me also commend the Vice Chairman, the Executive and Legislative Arm, our new Council Manager and the Management Team for the great work you all are doing and your support. I appreciate your sustained passion for the growth and development of Oshodi."
