The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has inaugurated the Community Development Committee (CDC) and Community Development Associations (CDA) of the local government.
Oloyede, while inaugurating the executives on Friday, charged them on working for the development of their various communities and Oshodi-Isolo local government as a whole.
The council honcho congratulated the executives and reminded them of tasks ahead of them and urged them not to be found wanting in the discharge of their community duties, he assured them that his administration, as always, would continue to partner, support and work with the community leaders for the development of the local government.
He said; "I welcome you to a new dispensation as community leaders. It is a call to duty, a selfless service to bring development to the grassroots and complement the local and state governments.
I once again congratulate you and charge you all to be diligent in the discharge of your duties. The people of Oshodi have reposed their trust and confidence in you by electing you as their representatives and to whom much is given, much is expected. Let us join hands together to move Oshodi forward and make it great.
We will continue to support you for greater community activities and infrastructure development, our administration will work together with you to deliver the dividends of democracy to the door steps of our people."
The CDC Secretary, Hon. Saheed Animashaun who spoke on behalf of the chairman, Alhaji MO Olawoyin assured the council chairman and the residents of their committment and determination to work assiduously for the development of their various communities, Oshodi-Isolo local government and Lagos state at large.
