It was glitz, glamour and showering of encomiums on Monday as the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede celebrates his birthday.
Even though the executive chairman is on his annual leave oversea, his birthday celebration was held in grand style.
The vice chairman of the local government, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe did the wonders as she led other members of the local government executive members, lawmakers, management team and staff of the council in praise and worship session both at the Christian chapel where the Christian prayer was held and the marriage registry hall for the Muslims prayer session for the workaholic chairman.
The congregants at the praise and worship equally used the avenue to thank God for sparing the life of the council chairman and his family. They prayed for continued peace, harmony and joy within the local government and its locality.
The highlight of the short but colourful service was the presentation of birthday gifts to the chairman by the NULGE Executives which was graciously received by the Secretary to the local government, Hon. Smart Akinleye and Chief of Staff to the local government chairman, Hon. Leke Banjoko on behalf of the chairman.
The council manager, Mrs Iyabode showered encomiums on the council chairman for his unprecedented infrastructural development projects in the council. She prays for long life, sound health and prosperity for the council chairman.
In a glowing terms, the officiating prophet eulogised the virtues of Otunba Oloyede urging the congregation to emulate his worthy exemplary life style.
The clergy man prayed for the prosperity, long life and sound health for the council chairman, his twin brother, Mr Taiwo Oloyede and daughter, Omolewa whose birthday falls same day with the council boss.
Earlier, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Apex leaders, led by Prince S.O. Aina had offered prayers for the council chairman, his family, the APC family and the entire local government; praying for his long life and prosperity.
