... Council Chair, Otunba Oloyede promises legacy project
The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede today Friday 8th December, 2023 declared opened a two day budget retreat for the 2024 budget.
The budget retreat, according to the chairman is an avenue "to discuss, analyse and reflect on budget performances of last year in order to set an agenda, justify proposals and disaggregate limited resources amongst numerous and unlimited wants to achieve an optimal budget performance for the coming year".
The council honcho implored participants to make robust contribution so as to come up with a workable budget whose Capital Expenditure would be more than Recurrent and ultimately provide more dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of Oshodians.
The 2024 Budget Retreat with the theme: Budget of Infrastructural Fulfillment and Economic Sustainance" enabled attendees to have a fruitful deliberation, exchange ideas and submitted recommendations aimed at improving the budget performance of the outgoing year.
A Budget and Public Policy expert, Mr. Ismail Ogungbami was also invited to lecture participants on "Budget, Budgeting and Budget Discipline."
In attendance were the Vice chairman, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, the SLG, Chief of Staff, Acting Council Manager, Council Treasurer, cabinet members, Heads of Units, Chairman Receive Committee, Area Officers, and host of others.
