The Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, D9110 has yet again shown it's commitment and unflinching resolved to nurturing future upright leaders that would positively contribute to the course of humanity through the Interact Club of Ewutuntun grammar school.
The resolve of the club was made known through the productive engagement of the pupils of Ewutuntun Grammar School to carry out community service of cleaning their school environment.
The two days program was concluded with a lecture and sharing life issues with Rotarians in attendance to show support and serve as good examples to the Interactors.
The Hope President, Rotarian Reuben Oni commended the commitment of the pupils, urging them to keep up the spirit of service while noting that Rotary Club is all about "service above self".
According to Rotarian Aminat Mopelola Otuokhile, Chair Youth Service, the two days event is one of the programs planned by the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun to engage the youth and catch them young. She also said it is aimed at instilling in the young pupils the spirit of selfless services and how to become a good ambassador of their respective homes.
The guest speakers, Rtn Salako 'Tobi and Rtn Samson Okeyin talked to the pupils about "menace of drugs abuse amongst youths" and "Rotary and the youth" respectively.
The highlight of the day was the cutting of cake to commemorate this year's Interactors' Day.
It should be recalled that Rotary Club of Ewutuntun has been extremely impactful in the Oshodi community through provision of viable projects cum training and empowerment of residents.
The club has vowed to continue contributing to the host community via programs that will positively impact both the the youth and the old.
