Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 MHR, Dr. Bashir Dawudo Kick-start Palliative Distribution



... promises constituents more goodies 

Reacting to the call of the residents of Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency 1 regarding the hardship occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal, the honourable member representing the Constituency at the house of representatives, Dr. Bashir Dawodu has rolls out his palliative program for the constituents. The palliative intervention will see each recipient go home with a bag of 10kg rice.

The launch of the program, which was done at the Constituency office of the MHR had many people in attendance. In order to ensure the food items get to the households that actually need them, the distribution will be done in batches to prevent rowdiness and stampede

It is starting today with excos of the  All Progressive Congress across the seven wards of the local government as well as the LGA officers. Other sets of people that would benefit from the largesse of the honourable member are traders, religious bodies, youths, elderlies, people living with disabilities amongst others. Each of them will be attended to on different days to forestall rowdiness. 

The MHR disclosed that he understands how the people are feeling, particularly about the skyrocketing prices of food items. He however urged them to keep faith with the President Bola Tinubu's government, noting that he is working day and night to reposition the country.

He also used the avenue to clear the air as regards the trailers of rice being speculated that he has received. He disclosed that he is yet to receive anything and that the palliative program is his personal contributions to the needs of his constituents. 

He lined up other goodies that his constituents should be expecting, promising that he would execute them one after the other. Parts of the expected programs include financial support to traders through cooperative societies, provision of free eye glasses and free eyes surgeries, provision of solar street lights, provision of boreholes, empowerment of people living with disabilities, empowerment of windows and medical mission for women amongst others.


He promised to do his best in attracting projects and programs that would benefit his constituents.

Amongst the dignitaries represent were Apex leader: Prince S.O.Aina, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe: member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 at Lagos State House of Assembly, Vice Chairman Oshodi-Isolo Local Govt, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Hon. Obasa Rasheed, leader legislative arm, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, All Progressive Congress LGA chairman and host of others.
