Eid Adha: Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman, Oloyede Felicitates Muslims

 


... Urges adherence to the teachings of the season

Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year's Eid Adha celebrations.


Oloyede extended his warm congratulations to the Muslim community for joyously celebrating the annual festival. He expressed his admiration for the dedication and spirit of unity displayed by the Muslims during this special time of festivity,urging continued adherence to the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim who exemplified true believe in Allah and total submission to the will of the Creator.


In his good will message to the Muslims across the globe, especially his immediate local government, Oloyede emphasized the importance of submitting to the Almighty Allah and prioritizing spiritual well-being over worldly desires. 


He reminded them of the selflessness act of Prophet Ibrahim and the submission of his son, Ismail which made Allah replace his being sacrificed with a ram. 


He called for sober reflection on the circumstances leading to the celebration of the Eid Adha saying the right values and teachings must be incluclated in the minds of all and imbibe moral values for a greater future for the country.


Oloyede also said as the Eid provides families, friends and others opportunity to merry together, he enjoyed all to do everything within the dictates of Allah.



He said; "I, on behalf of the Executive, management, staff and people of Oshodi-Isolo local government, felicitate with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year 1445 AH Eid Adha celebrations. I congratulate you for witnessing and celebrating the day with joy and merry.


Let's be reminded however that as you merry, never let lose the tenets and teachings that come with the season, let's always maintain moderation in celebration and continue to be our brother's keeper.


It is also a period of sober reflection on the importance of selflessness, compassion, and the willingness to make sacrifices for the sake of our faith and the betterment of humanity."
