Rotary Club of Ewutuntun Visits Home Sweet Home Orphanage Anthony, Lagos

… Donates Essential Items To Orphans

In a bid to reach out to the needy and put a smile on their faces, the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, District 9111 Nigeria has visited Home Sweet Home Orphanage, Anthony Village, Lagos, and donated needed essential items to the orphanage.

According to President 2024-2025 Rotary Club of Ewu Tuntun, Rotarian Bukonla Alamu, “ the visit is in line with Rotary International's aim of supporting the needy, and in tandem with seven areas of focus: Maternal and Child Health Care, well as part of the routine exercise of the Gateway Club. “

The Club President, Rotarian Bukola Alamu, who led other excited philanthropic Rotarians disclosed that “items brought for donations were specifically tailored towards the request of the home and were discovered to be urgently needed by the orphans.” she stated.

Alamu disclosed that "Rotary International in general and Rotary Club of Ewutuntun District 9111 in particular, will continue in stretching helping hands and bring relief to the community".

She further added that “the visit to the home is one of the numerous projects lined up to be executed in the Rotary Magical Year 2024-2025”

Items donated include sets of kids' tables and chairs, diapers, children's drinks, and snacks.

The highlight of the visit saw Rotarians playing with the children, motivating and urging them to be dedicated, focused, and determined in life as mentors and mentees initiatives were initiated.

It could be recalled that last Monday, July 15, 2024, the Rotary Club of Ewu Tuntun successfully organized a Maternal and Child Health Seminar training for pregnant women and nursing mothers, held at the Primary Care Centre (PHC) Oshodi, Lagos with the theme “ Preventing Cholera and the importance of Breastfeeding” during which pregnancy kits were distributed to participants.
