Rotary Club of Ewutuntun Plants Trees, Donates RainCoats to Makinde Police Station, Oshodi

Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, District 9111 is set to plant trees to improve the environment on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11 am at Nigeria Police Force Makinde Station, Mafoluku -Oshodi, Lagos. 

President Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, Rtn Bukonla Alamu during a press interview disclosed that "we shall engage in impactful community service through our tree planting project at Makinde Police Station on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11am.” 

Alamu noted that “planting of trees at NPF Makinde Police Station will help to improve officers’ morale, the environment, physical, health, mental attention and test scores, and the government property values.” 

“ The trees will help cool our station, Ewutuntun and Mafoluku, Oshodi- Isolo Local Govt urban center, and our motherland, Nigeria to meet 15 of the 17 internationally supported United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

The Tree Planting Project Committee Chair, Rtn Rufai ManRuffy Usman added that “ to assist improve the working conditions of our security architecture, Police Officers rank and file, Rotary Club of Ewutuntun will also donate raincoats for traffic wardens at Makinde Police Station, Mafoluku Lagos.”

Rtn Usman added that “for the traffic wardens, not only can rain jackets serve a practical function during sudden downpours while controlling traffic at Mafoluku junction, they also layer nicely for extra warmth when temperatures change drastically,” he stated.
